Phantom armies are a kind of mass ghost, in which groups of soldiers ranging from a few individuals to entire armies are seen. Reports of phantom armies are rare, but well-known sightings include the sighting of a spectral battle at the site of the battle of Edge Hill, England, in 1642.[1][2]
